| Obverse description | The heraldic coat of arms of the Central Bank of Malta occupies the central field, depicted in fine detail with two armoured knight supporters standing at either side of a quartered escutcheon surmounted by a mural crown. Radiating sunburst lines fill the background field behind the arms, lending a dynamic, effulgent quality to the composition. A scroll at the base bears the founding year 1968. The circular legend CENTRAL BANK OF MALTA and the motto FIDUCIA FORTIS run around the periphery, with the denomination 1,50 EURO CENT inscribed in the lower field. |

| Reverse description | The goddess Europa is depicted riding a bull across turbulent, wave-strewn waters, rendered in high relief in the neoclassical manner. Europa, shown semi-draped with her garments and hair billowing behind her, leans forward astride the bull, which is adorned with a garland of flowers about its neck and head. A radiant sunburst background fills the inner field, while a decorative border of scrolling wave volutes frames the central scene. The date 2022 appears at the top of the border, the engraver's initials JC are visible in the right field, and the legends 1 OZ FINE SILVER 999 and EUROPA AND THE BULL are inscribed in the lower portion of the border. |
