Obverse description Central shield bearing the arms of Bocholt: a quartered coat of arms with a beech tree in the upper half, all within a plain inner circle. A circular legend surrounds the shield, separated by small rosette stops, with the date 1762 appearing at the top of the outer circle. The overall design is rendered in a simple provincial style characteristic of small German city coinage of the mid-eighteenth century.
