Obverse description Central pointed shield bearing quartered arms of Chalon and Neuchâtel, with an inescutcheon displaying the Prussian eagle, the whole surmounted by a royal crown. The shield is flanked by decorative mantling. The encircling legend identifies the issuing sovereign, with the denomination expressed as '10½ BZ' incorporated into the legend.

Reverse description An elaborate floriated cross dominates the field, its four arms terminating in ornate acanthus-leaf scrollwork with decorative foliate flourishes. A central raised annulet forms the focal point, from which radiates a sunburst of straight and flame-like rays filling the interstices between the cross arms. The motto legend 'SUUM CUIQUE' is positioned laterally in the field to left and right, while the date '1796' appears in the exergue below.
