Obverse description The Polish state eagle displayed in the centre of the field, with wings spread and head turned to the right, rendered in a bold relief style characteristic of the People's Republic period. The denomination '1000' appears prominently in large numerals in the lower portion of the field, flanked by the 'ZŁ' abbreviation on each side. The date '19 82' is divided by the eagle's body, positioned within the inner field. The circular legend reads '• POLSKA • RZECZPOSPOLITA • LUDOWA •' around the periphery, with the mint mark 'MW' incorporated into the design.
