| Obverse description | Central colorized field depicting a gilded Kinshachi (mythical tiger-headed carp), a celebrated symbol of Nagoya Castle, occupying the lower left, facing right. To the upper right, a cluster of Rabbitear Iris (Kakitsubata) in full bloom is rendered in vivid purple and green coloring against a stylized blue background evoking Atsumi Peninsula coastal scenery. The Japanese kanji legend 日 本 国 (Japan) is distributed around the upper periphery, with 愛知県 (Aichi Prefecture) and the Latin inscription AICHI appearing at center right. The denomination 千 円 (1000 Yen) is inscribed in kanji at the lower field, flanking the central design. |
