| Reverse description | A highly detailed, realistic effigy of Mother Teresa depicted in close-up portrait facing slightly left, rendered in high relief with selective color application. She wears the distinctive white habit with blue border of the Missionaries of Charity, partially color-enhanced in pale blue. A small crucifix is visible at the lower center of her habit. The legend 'MOTHER TERESA' arcs along the upper field in stylized lettering, with an inscription in Armenian script to the right field. The date '2022' appears in the lower exergue, and a serrated decorative border frames the entire design. |

Mother Teresa was not Mongolian, nor did she have any documented connection to the country — Mongolia is one of dozens of nations that have issued her likeness under licensing or humanitarian-themed coin programs marketed primarily to Western collectors. The Vatican beatified her in 2003 and canonized her in 2016, and the years following canonization saw a sharp uptick in commemorative issues worldwide. This piece belongs to that wave.
