Additional information

Issued as part of the lunar new year series marking the Year of the Pig, this Mongolian piece was struck in 2019 — the same year the Mongolian tögrög came under renewed pressure against the dollar as the country's debt restructuring agreement with the IMF entered its critical phase. Collector silver from the Bank of Mongolia has grown into a meaningful revenue stream precisely because domestic coin demand cannot sustain large commemorative programs on its own.

KM#393 is a single-year type with no reported die varieties.
