Obverse description The Mongolian state emblem, depicting the soyombo symbol surmounting a circular medallion with the traditional ornamental border enclosing a scene of the lotus throne, dharmachakra, and sacred objects, occupies the central field. The legend MONGOLIA arcs along the upper rim in Latin script, while the Mongolian script inscription runs vertically along the right field. The denomination 1000, followed by the Mongolian script word for Tögrög, appears prominently in the lower field. A finely milled border frames the entire design.

Reverse description Facing confronted busts of Princess Masako and Crown Prince Naruhito of Japan are portrayed in high relief at the centre of the field, the Princess shown to the left with her hair down and the Prince to the right in a suit. The circular legend ROYAL WEDDING arcs along the upper rim, flanked by raised dots, while PRINCESS MASAKO and PRINCE NARUHITO are inscribed along the left and right inner borders respectively. The date 1993 appears in the lower central exergue, with a milled border encircling the entire design.
