On the front side of the coin in the central part on the mirror surface is depicted an element of the headdress - the protoma of the winged horses with the horns of the mountain goat making up the headhole emblem of the kulah-khood. In the lower part, the inscription `1000 ТЕҢГЕ` is located in two lines and denotes the denomination of the coin, under the nominal value the number `2001` denoting the year of coinage with two points along the edges. On the circumference there is an inscription `ҚАЗАҚСТАН РЕСПУБЛИКАСЫ` in the state language and `REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN` in English. In the upper part of the inscriptions are separated by the image of decorative figured plates from the decoration of the kulah-khood.

In the upper part of the coin is the trademark of the Kazakhstan Mint, the inscription `АЛТЫН АДАМ` in the official language located in two lines, the inscription `GOLDEN MAN` in English located in three lines and `7.78 gr.` denoting the mass of the coin. In the lower part - the inscription `· Au 999 ·` denoting the metal from which the coin is made and its sample.
