Percetakan Kebayoran was Bank Indonesia's primary domestic printer through the 1950s and 1960s, and this note falls near the end of that arrangement — the facility closed in 1971, after which Indonesia shifted more production to foreign security printers. Printing a high-denomination note domestically at that scale was a deliberate policy choice during Suharto's New Order consolidation, signaling institutional self-sufficiency even as the economy was being rebuilt after the catastrophic hyperinflation of the Sukarno years.
Designer credit to Sadjiroen is relatively rare in Indonesian numismatic documentation and worth noting when confirmed.
