| Obverse description | Central yantra (tantric geometric diagram) composed of a square subdivided into compartments by a cross, with a trident symbol at the centre intersection. The royal name and titles of King Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev are inscribed in Devanagari script within the compartments of the yantra. Eight auspicious symbols of Hinduism are arranged around the perimeter of the yantra within a circular border. The Vikram Samvat date 2062 appears in Devanagari numerals at the base, and a crescent moon and solar symbol appear at the top. The design is enclosed within a beaded border. |
