Obverse description Central yantra (tantric geometric diagram) composed of a square subdivided into compartments by a cross, with a trident symbol at the centre intersection. The royal name and titles of King Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev are inscribed in Devanagari script within the compartments of the yantra. Eight auspicious symbols of Hinduism are arranged around the perimeter of the yantra within a circular border. The Vikram Samvat date 2062 appears in Devanagari numerals at the base, and a crescent moon and solar symbol appear at the top. The design is enclosed within a beaded border.

Reverse description The central device features the official seal of Nepal Rastra Bank, depicting a Garuda (divine eagle) with outstretched wings above a temple gateway, enclosed within a circular frame bearing the motto in Devanagari script. The legend naming Nepal Rastra Bank curves around the upper portion of the seal, while a Devanagari inscription commemorating the Golden Jubilee year flanks the seal on the left side and the Vikram Samvat year 2062 on the right. The face value of रु.१००० is prominently displayed in Devanagari numerals and currency symbol at the bottom of the field. The entire design is surrounded by a beaded border.
