| Obverse description | Plain cream ground with a typographic letterpress layout in black and red. The issuing authority's name in Cyrillic appears at top centre, beneath which the denomination ОДНА ТЫСЯЧА РУБЛЕЙ is set in large bold type; two red rectangular cartouches each bearing 1000 РУБЛЕЙ are placed symmetrically at left and right. A central text block records the note's validity until 1 June 1920 and its exchangeability for general Russian credit notes, with the date 1920 in a small frame at bottom centre and facsimile signatures of the Chairman of the Council, the Finance Commissar, and the Treasurer at the foot. |
