Obverse description Portrait of the first Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Abdul Rahman, in full royal regalia at right, set against a fine guilloche underprint in purple. The denomination SA-RIBU RINGGIT is printed in large letters at centre, with a framed bilingual text panel above reading the note's legal tender inscription. The serial number appears twice — in the upper left panel and at lower right — with the Governor's facsimile signature and title below centre.
