Obverse description The central vignette presents an intaglio view of the Bayon Temple complex at Angkor Thom, rendered in fine line engraving against a multicolour guilloche underprint in rose and green tones. To the left, a sculptural naga finial serves as a decorative element, while two signature panels with Khmer script titles appear in the centre-left field above the denomination inscription. Numeral denominators "1000" appear in ornate cartouches at both upper corners and lower right, with the date "1999" at lower left.
