World Statistics Day was a one-time observance declared by the United Nations General Assembly for October 20, 2010, intended to promote the work of national statistical offices globally. Iran's Central Bank issued this commemorative as part of a broader international participation — dozens of countries marked the occasion, most with paper issues.
