| Obverse description | Central design depicts a stylized view of Mount Damavand, Iran's highest peak, rendered in fine engraved lines rising prominently in the field. The denomination '۱۰۰۰' (1000) is inscribed in large Eastern Arabic-Indic numerals in the lower central field, with the word 'ریال' (Rial) below. Two wheat ears flank the central design on either side, forming a partial wreath. The legend 'جمهوری اسلامی ایران' (Islamic Republic of Iran) arcs along the upper periphery, and the Solar Hijri date '۱۳۸۸' appears at the base between two decorative rosettes. |

| Reverse description | Central motif presents a detailed frontal depiction of the Khaju Bridge (Pol-e Khaju) in Isfahan, one of Iran's most celebrated Safavid-era architectural monuments, shown with its characteristic multi-arched spans and central pavilion surmounted by a radiating sun motif. The bridge is rendered over stylized horizontal water lines representing the Zayandeh River. The name 'پل خواجو' (Khaju Bridge) is inscribed in Persian script in the lower field beneath the architectural image. The field is otherwise plain, with no additional border ornamentation. |
