The shield is flanked by two naturalistic branches — a coffee branch to the left and a tobacco branch to the right — tied at the base with a ribbon bow. The Imperial crown surmounts the shield at the top. The denomination 1000 REIS is inscribed in large characters along the lower arc, within a continuous beaded border. |
