Additional information

The Battles of Lexington and Concord on April 19, 1775, opened the American Revolutionary War — the first exchange of fire at Lexington Green lasted minutes, but the running battle back to Boston along the Bay Road cost the British regulars over 270 casualties. That a British royal institution is commemorating this particular engagement in 2025, on the 250th anniversary, reflects a notably unsentimental approach to history that would have been commercially unthinkable a generation ago.

At 2,010 grams of .999 silver, the weight is almost certainly a deliberate reference to the anniversary year rather than a production necessity.
