Obverse description The national arms of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic occupy the central field, depicting two crossed rifles surmounted by a crescent and star, flanked on either side by olive branches, with a scroll bearing an Arabic inscription below. The arms are struck in relief against a flat field. A bilingual legend encircles the design, reading REPUBLICA SAHARAUI in Latin script on the left and the Arabic equivalent on the right, with the denomination 1000 and additional Arabic text at the bottom. Small five-pointed stars serve as decorative stops within the legend.
