| Obverse description | The obverse is dominated by an intricate blue guilloche lattice pattern covering the entire field, with a central rectangular vignette panel framed by ornamental corner medallions in red and blue. The denomination "ألف أوقية" (One Thousand Ouguiya) appears in large Arabic script at left, with the numeral 1000 in Arabic-Indic at upper left and Western numerals along the lower border.
