Obverse description The obverse is printed in dark brown and pink tones on a fine guilloche underprint, with the large numeral "1000" in the lower left and the title "Reichsbanknote" across the upper portion above the bold gothic script denomination "Tausend Mark." The main text body sets out the payment obligation and recall provisions, flanked on each side by an intaglio-printed Reichsbank eagle roundel, with a block of anti-counterfeiting warning text in the lower left margin. Multiple manuscript signatures of the Reichsbankdirektorium appear centrally above the right-hand eagle seal.

Reverse description The reverse is printed in olive-green tones on a guilloche underprint of similar design to the obverse, with the large numeral "1000" at the left and the header "Reichsbanknote" in the upper right above "Tausend Mark" in bold gothic script. The serial prefix, plate letter, and text body repeat the payment and recall conditions, with the Reichsbank eagle roundels flanking the signature block, rendered in a slightly simplified typographic layout compared to the obverse.
