| Obverse description | The left half of the note is occupied by a detailed heraldic vignette of the Geldern coat of arms, rendered in dark ink with a crowned shield bearing a rampant lion, supported by decorative acanthus scrollwork, with the issuer name KREIS GELDERN printed in bold block lettering beneath. To the right, the denomination EINTAUSEND MARK appears in large Gothic blackletter script against a fine guilloche underprint in red and cream tones. The body text, date of issue, and a manuscript signature of the Landrat are arranged in the lower right, with a serial number below. |
