| Obverse description | Green and brown Notgeld Gutschein printed in letterpress, dominated by an elaborate guilloche border with ornamental corner panels. The central text panel carries the denomination EIN TAUSEND MARK in bold Gothic typeface, flanked by a validity clause and payment instructions naming Plauen i.V., Reichenbach, Mylau, and Netzschau, dated 22. September 1922, with manuscript signatures of the Oberbürgermeister, Stadtkämmerer, and Amtshauptmann below. To the right, a circular vignette displays the heraldic coat of arms of Plauen — a castle tower with an eagle — surmounted by the numeral 1000, all within a fine guilloche rosette, with the printer's imprint of F.
