| Obverse description | At center, the Independence Monument of Turkmenistan rises prominently within a background map of the country. Flanking the monument are two volumes of the Rukhnama, the national spiritual book, along with olive branches symbolizing peace. The Rub el Hizb, an eight-pointed Islamic symbol formed by two overlapping squares, appears in the design.
