Reverse description A central encircled portrait vignette of Italia Turrita facing left occupies the middle of the note, surrounded by dense guilloche scrollwork connecting two vertical cartouches at the centre-left and centre-right borders, each carrying the anti-counterfeiting legal text. Denomination elements "1000" and "MILLE" are interwoven throughout the decorative framework linking the outer ovals, with a right-border matrix panel inscribed "1000 LIRE". The entire composition is rendered in dark green intaglio.
