Obverse description The Bulgarian national arms vignette is positioned at left within an ornate guilloche border frame enclosing the full note. The central field carries the bold Cyrillic text of the bank name and denomination, with two printed serial numbers and a red circular stamp visible. Signatures of the Governor and Cashier appear below the central inscription, with a legal warning clause in smaller text at the lower right.
Obverse lettering Хиляда Лева Златни Българската Народна Банка Плаща Прѣдявителю въ замѣна на тоя касовъ бонъ За подправка виновнитѣ се наказватъ съгласно чл. чл. 183 и 191 отъ наказ. законъ.
(Translation: One Thousand Leva Gold The Bulgarian National Bank Pays the Bearer for exchange of this cash bond For forgery the guilty are punished according Art. 183 and 191 of the criminal law)
Reverse description The reverse is printed entirely in a single dark olive-brown tone, dominated by a large central diamond-shaped guilloche panel enclosing the numeral "1000", flanked on each side by the Cyrillic word "ЛЕВА" in bold block lettering. Four circular medallions bearing the numeral "1000" are placed at the corners, all set within an intricate geometric lattice underprint that covers the entire surface.
