| Obverse description | The Zambian national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting two figures flanking a shield adorned with wavy vertical lines, surmounted by an eagle with spread wings. The legend BANK OF ZAMBIA arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 1000 KWACHA runs along the lower rim. The date is divided on either side of the shield, reading 19 and 98 respectively. The motto ONE ZAMBIA ONE NATION appears on a scroll at the base of the arms. |
