| Obverse description | The Zambian coat of arms is depicted centrally in the field, supported on either side by a male figure in traditional attire and a female figure, with crossed pick and hoe surmounted by a fish eagle above the shield. The date 2014 is divided across the field flanking the arms, with the legend ZAMBIA arching along the upper periphery. The denomination 1000 KWACHA is inscribed along the lower arc of the coin. A ribbon at the base of the arms bears the national motto ONE ZAMBIA ONE NATION. The design is executed in high relief against a finely milled border. |
