| Obverse description | The obverse of the original 1940 Slovenská Národná Banka note, overstamped with a Czechoslovak adhesive stamp bearing a portrait of Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk at upper centre, applied as a provisional validation measure per vládne nariadenie č. 44/1939. The central text reads TISÍC KORÚN SLOVENSKÝCH within an intaglio-engraved cartouche, flanked by an allegorical vignette at right with classical figures and a worker at a forge, executed in fine line engraving by J. Schmidt after Š. Bednár. Serial number and issuing bank inscriptions of the Slovenská Národná Banka v Bratislave appear below, along with two facsimile signature lines. |
