Released in 2023 to mark three decades of Czech currency following the peaceful dissolution of Czechoslovakia in January 1993, this commemorative 1000 Korun was issued as a collector piece rather than a circulating banknote. Kulhánek and Fajt are the same designer-engraver pairing behind the original Czech banknote series — their involvement here is a deliberate continuity choice, not coincidence.

Pick W31 designation places it in the commemorative/non-circulating category. Státní Tiskárna Cenin has produced Czech security printing continuously since the communist period and handled the entire post-1993 series from the outset.
