Obverse description The obverse is printed in shades of violet and grey, with an oval intaglio vignette at left centre containing a portrait of a nobleman in period costume. The centre of the note carries the denomination legend in large letterpress text, flanked by guilloche underprint work and a central ornamental rosette. A minister's facsimile signature appears below the central text, with the serial number printed twice in dark ink at upper right and lower left within a finely ruled decorative border.

Reverse description The reverse is rendered in grey and brown tones, with a large central intaglio vignette of Karlštejn Castle set upon its rocky promontory surrounded by wooded landscape. To the left, a plain panel with the numeral 1000 printed vertically at top and bottom serves as a counterfoil area, while to the right an ornate guilloche medallion incorporates the numeral 1000 in relief. The header inscription runs across the full width at the top within a decorative border.
