Obverse description The obverse presents a fine intaglio portrait of a bearded male figure in period dress, positioned to the right within a ruled frame against a finely engraved background. The central text panel carries the bilingual denomination inscriptions TAUSEND KRONEN and TISÍC KORUN, flanked by numeral 1000 panels at each corner, with the issuing authority named in both German and Czech. Two facsimile signatures appear below the central text, and a red serial number is printed to the lower left.
