Obverse description Dark brown intaglio print on brown guilloche underprint. An oval vignette at right carries a bust portrait of King Saint Stephen I of Hungary, shown in royal regalia with crown and sceptre, rendered in fine engraved detail. The denomination "EZER KORONA" appears in large ornate lettering at upper centre, flanked by intricate guilloche cornerpieces bearing the numeral 1000, with the Hungarian coat of arms at top centre and the statutory legal tender text in Hungarian occupying the central field.

Reverse description Brown and ochre print on a plain ground, with an elaborate guilloche border frame incorporating four circular medallions at the corners each bearing the numeral 1000. The central field contains a large ochre guilloche rosette underprint over which the denomination "EZER KORONA" is set in bold letters within a rectangular panel. The value is also expressed in five additional languages arranged above and below the central panel.
