| Obverse description | Elaborate intaglio-engraved design on a light guilloche underprint, centred on a large ornate dark oval cartouche bearing the Cyrillic denomination inscription and the numeral 1000. A ribbon banner at the top carries the legend УКРАЇНСЬКА ДЕРЖАВА, flanked by crossed maces and decorative scrollwork. Two smaller oval vignettes at left and right contain supplementary Cyrillic text, with denomination numerals set within laurel wreaths at the upper corners; the signature of the Director of the State Treasury and a red official seal appear at the lower portion. |
