| Obverse description | Sepia-toned note with a central vignette of a seated woman known as 'Grietje Seel' positioned at left, rendered in fine intaglio engraving. The arms bearing a caduceus appear at the lower left as an heraldic underprint element. Dates of issue range between 23 June 1919 and 3 March 1921, with the denomination '1000' displayed in the corner numerals. |

| Reverse description | Multicolour reverse dominated by a large central guilloche medallion enclosing an intricate lathe-work pattern, surmounted by a scrolled cartouche reserve in the upper centre. Dense engine-turned guilloche borders frame the entire field on all sides, and a circular band of letterpress text in Dutch script curves around the lower portion of the central medallion. Serial numbers appear in dark ink at lower left and lower right flanking the central design. |
