| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Cameroon occupies the central field, depicting a shield charged with scales of justice and surmounted by a five-pointed star, flanked by crossed fasces. The motto is inscribed in bilingual form in the upper field, with 'PAIX / PEACE' to the left, 'TRAVAIL / WORK' at centre, and 'PATRIE / FATHERLAND' to the right. The legend 'REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN' arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination '1000 FRANCS CFA' is boldly rendered along the lower periphery. A secondary scroll beneath the shield bears the inscriptions 'REPUBLIC OF CAMEROON' and 'REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN'.
