| Obverse description | The coat of arms of the Republic of Cameroon is depicted centrally in the field, featuring a shield bearing scales of justice surmounted by a torch, flanked by two crossed fasces with axe heads, with scrolled banners inscribed with the national motto in both French and English: PAIX PEACE, TRAVAIL WORK, and PATRIE FATHERLAND. The coloured central panel is surrounded by an ornate engraved border of scrolling foliage and acanthus motifs in the mirror-polished field, with an infinity symbol in gold at the top and two astrological symbols flanking the title inscription at the base. The legend VII THE CHARIOT appears in gold lettering along the lower border. |
