The "Big Five" designation — lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant, and Cape buffalo — originated with big-game hunters referring to the five most dangerous animals to hunt on foot in Africa. Djibouti has no wild populations of any of them. The country's native megafauna is limited to scattered populations of common warthog and Somali ostrich, which makes this series a purely commercial exercise aimed at the international bullion collector market rather than any coherent national narrative.
