Cameroon's use of CFA franc-denominated collector issues has been a minor industry for European private mints since the 1990s, with the Monnaie de Paris and various third-party producers licensing the republic's authority to strike legal tender pieces aimed squarely at the European collector market. The coins have no meaningful circulation history in Cameroon itself.
The Ponte Vecchio has spanned the Arno since 1345, surviving both the 1966 Florence flood and a wartime order — Hitler's sole exception when retreating German forces destroyed every other Florentine bridge in 1944.
