Obverse description Bare-headed right-facing bust of Prince Charles, Prince Regent of Belgium, rendered in high relief with finely modeled facial features. The effigy occupies the central field with a bold, authoritative profile characteristic of Devreese's medallic style. The circular legend reads CAROLUS PRINCEPS REGENS BELGICAE, separated by small pellets, running along the full circumference of the coin. The field is otherwise plain, allowing the portrait to dominate the design.
