Obverse description Two female allegorical figures in profile, set within oval medallions, symbolize Agriculture; they are surrounded by rich vegetal ornamentation including bunches of grapes, wheat sheaves, a butterfly, a bird, and a rooster. The central vignette is framed by intricate guilloche patterns and floral underprint elements typical of intaglio engraving of the period. Denomination numerals "1000" appear at left and right, with the issuer's name "BANQUE DE FRANCE" and "MILLE FRANCS" inscribed across the note.
