| Obverse description | Central field features the Cameroonian coat of arms — a shield bearing scales of justice, flanked by two crossed fasces — enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The bilingual legend REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN arcs along the upper periphery, with the motto PAIX / PEACE, TRAVAIL / WORK, and PATRIE / FATHERLAND inscribed across the upper central field. The date 2025 is divided to either side of the arms, and the denomination 1000 FRANCS CFA appears along the lower arc. A banner beneath the shield reads REPUBLIC OF CAMEROON / REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN. The entire design is surrounded by an elaborately engraved border filled with Day of the Dead iconography including skulls, skeletons, coffins, an hourglass, a scythe, a Grim Reaper figure, an owl, candles, serpents, and various memento mori motifs rendered in high relief. |
