| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Gabon occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield supported by two black panthers rampant, surmounted by a okoumé tree and flanked by a ribbon bearing the national motto 'UNION JUSTICE TRAVAIL'. The legend 'RÉPUBLIQUE GABONAISE' arcs along the upper periphery in bold Latin capitals, while the denomination '1000 FRANCS CFA' is inscribed along the lower periphery. The entire design is rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished proof field. |
