Chad joined a small cluster of African franc zone nations — including Congo, Gabon, and Niger — that have issued legal tender collector coins through the Pressburg Mint under licensing arrangements that have little to do with the issuing state's own monetary policy. The "bottle cap" shape is a genuine struck format, not a capsule holder, produced using a proprietary die-forming technique developed in Slovakia around 2015.
