| Obverse description | The Gabonese coat of arms is prominently displayed in the centre of the field, featuring a quartered shield supported by two black panthers rampant, with an okoumé tree issuing from the top of the shield. The shield is surmounted by a scroll bearing the national motto. The circular legend RÉPUBLIQUE GABONAISE arcs along the upper periphery in raised Latin letters, while the denomination 1000 FRANCS CFA appears in the lower field. The design is struck in proof finish with deeply mirrored fields. |
