| Reverse description | The reverse features a full-color reproduction of Peter Paul Rubens's painting 'The Union of Earth and Water' set within a gilt baroque cartouche frame at the center, depicting two allegorical figures — a nude female personification of Earth and a male river god — accompanied by a putto and other classical elements. The surrounding field is finished in black and decorated with an intricate silver floral and foliate scrollwork pattern. The legend 'THE UNION OF EARTH AND WATER' arcs along the left periphery, while 'PETER PAUL RUBENS 1577–1640' appears along the right periphery. The year of issue '2016' is inscribed at the bottom of the field. |

| Additional information |
Burkina Faso has issued commemorative silver under the CFA franc system since the early 2000s, contracting production almost entirely through European private mints — this piece almost certainly struck by the Monnaie de Paris or a Belgian contractor rather than anything on Burkinabè soil. The country maintains no domestic mint. These issues circulate in name only; the intended market is collector and thematic bullion buyers in Europe and North America.
KM#93 sits in a long run of Burkinabè thematic silvers with limited secondary market depth.
