| Reverse description | A highly detailed naturalistic depiction of a white rhinoceros (Ceratotherium simum) standing in profile and facing to the right, rendered in high relief against a savanna landscape. A stylized radiant sun with bold rays appears in the upper left field, while a large acacia tree with a billowing canopy occupies the upper right background. The rhinoceros stands amid tufts of grass in the exergue area. The curved legend 'SPIRIT OF AFRICA' arcs along the upper periphery, and the date '2017' is inscribed vertically along the right border. |

| Additional information |
Burkina Faso has no rhinoceros population and hasn't for well over a century. The country's wildlife coinage is produced entirely for the collector market under agreements with foreign minting firms — in this case almost certainly the Bavarian State Mint or a comparable European contractor. The CFA franc zone's monetary authority, the BCEAO, issues the circulating coinage; these silver pieces are licensed separately and never enter circulation in West Africa in any meaningful sense.
