Obverse description The Togolese national coat of arms is depicted at the centre of the field, featuring two rampant lions facing each other and supporting two national flags, with scroll ribbons bearing the national motto in three parts: TRAVAIL, LIBERTE, and PATRIE. The monogram RT appears on a central shield within a stylised octagonal frame. The legend REPUBLIQUE TOGOLAISE arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 1000 FRANCS is inscribed along the lower border. The entire design is framed by a fine beaded border.
