Additional information

West Germany's 1974 World Cup victory at Munich's Olympiastadion came courtesy of a 2–1 final against the Netherlands — a result still argued over by those who believe Cruyff's side was tactically superior. Benin's CFA franc issues of this type belong to a wave of commemorative silver struck for the collector market rather than circulation, produced under licensing arrangements that had little connection to the events depicted.
