| Obverse description | The obverse displays the gold-highlighted coat of arms of Burkina Faso centrally in the field, featuring a shield charged with a central star, flanked by two rearing stallions as supporters, with crossed spears behind the shield and an open book below. A ribbon beneath bears the national motto in Latin script. The circular legend REPUBLIQUE DU BURKINA FASO is inscribed along the upper periphery, while the denomination 1000 FRANCS CFA appears along the lower periphery, all rendered against a ruthenium-toned background. |

| Additional information |
Ruthenium plating on numismatic silver became fashionable among European private mints in the early 2010s, primarily as a way to create tonal contrast without the oxidation instability of traditional antiquing. Burkina Faso, like many small francophone West African nations, issues no coins through its own monetary authority — the BCEAO manages the CFA franc zone collectively, and the legal-tender licenses for collector issues are effectively leased to foreign minting operations, most often Austrian or Polish.
These issues circulate entirely within the collector market and never approach Burkina Faso itself.
